By far the most amazing trip that I have ever experienced. Mongolia is a vast land filled with so much beauty. It has been on my bucket list to film the eagle h...unters and I finally had the opportunity to achieve that dream thanks to Blue Wolf Travel Read on for details.... I believe as a filmmaker you should always push yourself and put yourself in tough situations. In December I had the opportunity to travel to Mongolia and film Eagle Hunters in the Kazakh Mountains. Temperatures would drop to negative 48 degrees at night which would cause my gear to freeze and batteries to go dead within a matter of minutes on top of that I was running a fever of 102 out in the middle of nowhere. The subjects I was shooting didnt speak any english which made setting up shots nearly impossible. I learned so much from this trip. Riding on horses with one hand while filming for hours with the other, going over slippery terrains and at one point my horse and I with camera in hand started to fall and roll down the mountain. Broken down cars stranded at night, and the daily process of unthawing my gear next to the one heat source inside the cabin. With that all said and done, by far the best shooting experience I have ever been apart of!
