La embajadora Niniek Kun Naryatie presentó a los altos miembros de la Cámara del Asia diversas oportunidades de inversión en Indonesia, particularmente tras el establecimiento de la Ley Ómnibus sobre la Creación de Empleo y el Fondo Soberano de Inversión (FSI). La Ley Ómnibus unió 79 leyes existentes y eliminó la burocracia de trámites, mientras que el FSI facilita la inversión de entrada y de salida. ASEAN Committee in Buenos Aires (ACBA) meeting with Argentine Foreign Minister Felipe Solá at San Martin Palace (18/3) Ambassador Niniek Kun Naryatie, in her capacity as Chair of the ACBA, invites Argentina and Mercosur to take advantage of the Regional Comprehensive Economic Agreement (RCEP), because of the huge opportunities it offers. As the second largest trading bloc after the WTO, investment in one of the RCEP countries guarantees access to a third of the global economy... and two billion consumers, including the 600 million people of ASEAN. Indonesia is one of the potential investment destinations because it has investment-friendly policies through the Omnibus Law and the existence of a Sovereign Wealth Fund that will help the investment climate by channeling funds to inbound and outbound investors. FM Solá expresses the importance of ASEAN as an entry point for Argentina and Mercosur to the region and conveys Argentina's interest in trade diversification, promotion of productive investment and high-technology cooperation. FM Solá also emphasizes that Argentina, currently the pro-tempore President of Mercosur, hopes to continue to expand trade relations with ASEAN. It emphasizes Mercosur's willingness to explore the possibility of starting trade negotiations with ASEAN countries. The meeting is ACBA's first meeting at the ministerial level.
